NOMADIC MYTHOLOGIES: SITE DANCES

2023

An experimental movement journey through locations around New York City, a dancer explores seven specific and disparate physical, natural, and architectural environments. The dancer’s movement is rooted in site-specific sensory investigation of place, while corresponding costuming and choreography build an imagined narrative.

READING A WAVE

Inspired by Italo Calvino's novella Mr. Palomar, this 3 channel video installation is about the impossibility of isolation: of a wave, of a moment, of oneself from the external world. It is reflective and investigative of the spaces between labor and meditation, divergence and convergence, the physical and the perceived.

An Unquiet Mind: The Untold Story of Isabelle Cadieux is a fictional documentary film, part of a larger body of work comprising the artworks and artifacts of unknown French Outsider Artist Isabelle Cadieux  (b. 1966 – d. 1998, France) An intimate portrait of the artist, this experimental narrative prompts the audience to contemplate their own conceptions of history.

MEMORY MACHINE

Memory Machine is is a mixed media experimental narrative film and and 3 channel video. We are a species that spends its lifetime documenting our individual existence. This need for external proof of our selves and our stories is reflected in our photographs, home movies, possessions (objects), achievements, our children. If we are to have lived, it is because we have a story.

ASSASSINATION JOURNAL

Documentary Film following Radical Historian, George Michael Evica, founder of the first grassroots radio show on the east coast, Assassination Journal. As his obsession with the JFK assassination expands with the events of 9-11, this devoted scholar and patriot finds the answers to these unsolved mysteries when faced with his own mortality.
